At PACE, we believe that making a positive impact starts with supporting each other and making a difference together. As part of our dedication to the well-being of our people and our planet, we’re thrilled to announce the 2024 Well-Being Challenge, a month-long journey that aims to bring our team together through activities promoting physical and mental health, personal connection, and sustainability.

A Challenge for All: Connecting Across Teams and Locations

Starting October 25 and running until November 29, the Well-Being Challenge invites all PACE staff from our six permanent office and working remotly, regardless of location, team, or lifestyle, to participate in activities that contribute to their own wellness, connect them with colleagues, and make a positive environmental impact. Whether they enjoy running, cooking, reading, meditating, creating art, or spending time with family and pets, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and log/share in the app developed by TereGo. By participating in these activities, they’ll not only support their own well-being but also contribute to a larger cause — reforesting areas in need in Africa.

Making a Sustainable Impact Through the Jane Goodall Institute

The challenge is simple yet impactful. Participants will log various activities using our dedicated app, tracking their hours, kilometers, or completed tasks to earn points. These points will help us reach our shared goal of planting 1,500 trees in partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute in Burundi, a country facing critical deforestation challenges. For every milestone our team reaches together, more trees will be planted, allowing each of us to play an active role in combating climate change.

With this challenge, PACE contributes directly to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reinforcing our commitment to a more sustainable and healthy future: SDG 3.4: Enhancing health and well-being through activities that encourage mindfulness, physical exercise, and mental health; SDG 15.1: Restoring forests and protecting biodiversity by planting trees in deforested areas; and SDG 17.16: Building sustainable partnerships with organizations like the Jane Goodall Institute to make lasting environmental changes.

Why This Challenge Matters

Our Well-Being Challenge builds on the success of "A Challenge for Change," an initiative held in 2021 to celebrate PACE’s 30th anniversary. This year, we’re renewing our focus on what makes PACE unique: our ability to create meaningful partnerships, foster positive change, and support one another as a global team. This initiative is a reminder of our collective strength and commitment to improving lives, protecting our environment, and building connections across teams, countries, and cultures.

Let’s come together to celebrate health, well-being, and the power of collective action. Join us in this meaningful challenge, where every step, every activity, and every tree planted helps us build a healthier, greener future for all.
