Yesterday, we proudly inaugurated the EU Infopoint in the heart of Nicosia, marking a significant milestone in fostering unity and understanding. We were honored to have Mario Nava, Director General of DG Reform, join us to cut the ribbon and officially launch this inspiring initiative.

Operated by PACE, the EU Infopoint is more than just a space; it's a gateway to understanding. Our primary goal is to deepen the connection between the Turkish Cypriot community and the European Union, highlighting the EU's pivotal role in supporting the Cyprus settlement.

The EU Infopoint aims to spark conversations, foster understanding, and ignite curiosity through dynamic communication campaigns, informative seminars, and engaging cultural events. We strive to provide a platform for inquiries, discussions, and learning about EU policies and support.

This initiative is part of our broader commitment to fostering connections, as understanding and collaboration are catalysts for positive and lasting change. Our work in Cyprus includes other significant projects like the Civic Space / Sivil Alan, which further underscores our dedication to these principles.

This is our second Europe House/Infopoint contract following the successful Europe House Skopje in North Macedonia. The overall objective of this project is to bring the Turkish Cypriot community closer to the European Union and contribute to facilitating efforts toward a settlement of the Cyprus problem, leading to the reunification of the island. This context is unique as we are working towards the reunification of Cyprus, a goal that resonates deeply with our mission.

The EU InfoPoint will be active from July 2024 to July 2027, providing ample opportunities for the Turkish Cypriot community to engage with the EU. Join us on this exciting venture, uniting to embrace EU values and shape a brighter future together. If you're in Nicosia, be sure to stop by and stay tuned for updates, events, and opportunities to connect!

GOPA PACE is strongly committed to this project fostering unity and understanding in Nicosia and beyond. For more information, visit EU Infopoint and stay up to date with the latest news and events.
